The National Poultry Farmers Union Seeks to Develop a Comprehensive Strategic Information System

February 10, 2026. The National Poultry Farmers Union (UNA), led by its president Lorenzo Martín Martín, along with Alejandro Monteagudo and the organization's board of directors, held several working meetings last week and this Monday with executives from Agriglobal, headed by Felipe Hurtado.

The objective of these meetings is to advance the design and implementation of a Comprehensive Information System to strengthen strategic decision-making in the national poultry sector. This tool will centralize and systematize economic, production, and health indicators, as well as relevant information on markets, international trade, regulations, and current events.

The initiative seeks to provide producers with timely, reliable, and up-to-date information that will allow them to anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and react more quickly to changes in the national and international environment. Furthermore, the system will contribute to strengthening sector planning, improving competitiveness, and supporting institutional dialogue with authorities and other key stakeholders with solid data.
