Mission Africa: Brazilian Renderers
A partnership between the Brazilian Animal Recycling Association ( ABRA ) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency ( ApexBrasil ), Brazilian Renderers successfully concluded its commercial promotion journey across the African continent. Mission Africa took the best national rendering image to Kenya, Rwanda and Nigeria.
The Brazilian delegation was composed of animal recycling industries participating in the Project, accompanied by the ABRA team and the Brazilian Renderers. The Africa Mission took place between September 28 and October 10, fulfilling its main objective of establishing commercial connections, identifying business opportunities and promoting the growth and development of the sector in African markets.
The Project’s partnership with the Brazilian Embassy, Consulate and Agricultural Attachés in Kenya, Rwanda and Nigeria highlighted the strategic importance of this initiative. The support of the Embassies in the Brazilian Renderers’ events and participation in trade fairs significantly increased their visibility and access to local markets. This collaboration further strengthened Brazil’s presence as a reliable and innovative supplier in the animal recycling sector, generating benefits for both the Brazilian companies involved and their business partners in Africa.
One of Brazilian Renderers’ target markets, Africa is of great importance to Brazil’s animal recycling sector due to its rapid population growth, which drives demand for animal products, especially in the meal segment. Despite its relatively small share of global imports and exports, the African continent shows growth potential, in addition to having a developing economy and a growing need for animal recycling products to support its internal growth.
This series of intense agendas is a testament to Brazilian Renderers’ commitment to leading the expansion of the rendering trade and strengthening Brazil’s presence as a major global player in this sector.
