Tekron and Lombardi Maquinarias reported the theft of two DJI Agras agricultural drones in Alta Gracia, Córdoba, with a combined value of close to $60,000. The firms asked for cooperation and warned about a parallel market.
Tekron, the main representative of the Chinese brand DJI, and the dealership Lombardi Maquinarias reported the theft of two agricultural drones from Lombardi's facilities in Alta Gracia, Córdoba. In a joint statement published on Instagram, the firms said: "This is the news we didn't want to give, but we need to tell you this."
According to the information released, the equipment was stolen in the early hours of Tuesday. The units are a DJI Agras T70P, aircraft serial number B26WN6N0025K3X, and a DJI Agras T55, serial number CTEXP4P00A00ZQ.
The combined commercial value of both units is around $60,000 on the Argentine market. The T70P, which has the larger capacity, sells at reference prices close to $35,000, while the T55 is priced at around $25,000.
Tekron and Lombardi warned that a parallel market is offering this type of machinery to contractors, growers and advisers, and asked for cooperation in locating the devices. Anyone with information can call 3541-555553. "All information will be treated confidentially," they stated.
The stolen models are professional spraying equipment. The T70P has a 70-liter tank, capacity to carry up to 70 kilos in its spreading system and the ability to lift up to 65 kilos; the T55 has a 50-liter tank, can distribute up to 55 kilos of solids and lift loads of up to 40 kilos. Both incorporate precision satellite navigation, obstacle detection and task automation. These are not recreational drones, but specialized agricultural machinery with a high economic value, intended to replace or complement ground spraying equipment.
