ABPA and ApexBrasil closed SIAL Paris 2026 with US$451.992 million in business concluded, 256.7% more than in the previous edition, and project US$1.017 billion in exports for the next 12 months.
The Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), wrapped up its participation in SIAL Paris 2026 last week with results that reinforce Brazil's position as a reliable and diversified global supplier of animal protein, in an international context marked by sanitary, commercial and geopolitical challenges.
Over the five days of the fair, the companies located in ABPA's spaces closed US$451.992 million in business, a result 256.7% higher than that recorded in the previous edition of the event. For the next 12 months, the outlook is for US$1.017 billion in exports stemming from the contacts and negotiations initiated during SIAL Paris, a value 15.6% higher than that projected in the previous edition.
The negotiations involved 40 markets, countries and regions, which highlights the breadth and geographic diversity achieved by the initiative. The contacts covered established, high-value-added markets in Europe and Asia; major importers in the Middle East; expanding destinations in Africa; traditional partners in Latin America; and markets with growing potential in Southeast Asia and Oceania.
“The diversity of the markets involved and the volume of business achieved show that international demand for poultry and pork proteins remains strong. Even in a challenging global environment, buyers from different regions continue to seek reliable suppliers capable of offering quality, scale and consistency. Brazil possesses those attributes, and our presence at SIAL Paris reaffirmed our position as a strategic partner for global food security,” said Ricardo Santin, president of ABPA.
The event brought together 25 companies and cooperatives in four exclusive spaces totaling more than 670 square meters: Avenorte, Bello Alimentos, MBRF, C.Vale, Coasul, Copacol, Dália, Ecofrigo, Frigoestrela, Frimesa, GTF, Jaguafrangos, Cooperativa Lar Agroindustrial, Naturovos, Netto Alimentos, Pioneiro, RPF, Saudali, Somave, SSA, Suinco, Vibra Agroindustrial, Villa Germania, Vossko and Zanchetta Alimentos. Member companies Seara Alimentos, Pamplona Alimentos and Aurora Alimentos also participated in SIAL with their own spaces.
In addition to the business meetings, the spaces welcomed importers, distributors, authorities and other stakeholders from the international food chain. The program included tastings of dishes prepared with chicken and eggs produced in Brazil, as well as the distribution of materials on the exporting companies and the specific features of Brazil's production. The participation promoted the sector brands Brazilian Chicken, Brazilian Egg, Brazilian Pork, Brazilian Breeders and Brazilian Duck, highlighting attributes such as sustainability, sanitary status, quality, diversity and the capacity to customize Brazilian products.
“SIAL Paris brought together buyers of different profiles and regions, which allowed companies to strengthen existing relationships and open new commercial avenues. The results demonstrate the efficiency of a structured action that combines business generation, product promotion and strengthening the image of Brazilian animal proteins,” highlighted Isis Sardella, marketing and commercial promotion manager at ABPA.
